Ohene Kwaku Bonsu
Ohene Kwaku Bonsu is the founder and CEO the Joy Family Lodge. His expertise in business development and entrepreneurship, from micro to SMEs, has been developed over the last 25 years, as a UNDP consultant for Small Business Development on national projects; in pioneering the establishment of Business Growth Centers for the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI); and as CEO of an export company supplying one of the leading shea butter users in Europe, Loders Croklaan, amongst others. He authored a book on Business Partnerships, and continues to share his knowledge through Ghana Institute of Public and Management Administration (GIMPA), Barclays Business Clubs, and Ashesi University. Ohene Bonsu was awarded the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship at Boston University in 1999. He serves on the board of Educational Pathways International. Ohene has two children and lives in Pokuase with his wife, Jackie.
Connie Chow, Ph.D.
Dr. Connie Chow is the founder of The Exploratory and former executive director of Science Club for Girls. She is currently associate lecturer in the Honors College at UMass Boston. A molecular microbiologist by training and an educator at heart, Connie brings over 10 years of experience in nonprofit management, program development and fundraising; as well as informal STEM education, higher education, and adult learning. Connie received her Ph.D. in Virology from Harvard University. She is in Ghana whenever she is not in the United States. When she is not teaching, or coaching The Exploratory’s staff or teachers, she can be found playing taiko. More about her here.
James Owuraku Obeng, MBA
James Owuraku Obeng is a senior manager at HPW Fresh and Dry Ltd, a major dried and convenient fruit processor with the largest dried fruit plant in West Africa. He is also a member of HPW’s founding team and executive board. James has over 12 years of experience in operations, international sales and import/export especially of perishables, and is the immediate past chairman of the Education And Research Subcommittee, Eastern Regional Shipper Council, Ghana Shippers Authority. He obtained his MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, with a focus on Operations and Process Management. He is a proud father of two daughters, and with his wife Portia, resides in Nsawam. In his spare time, he raises chickens and rabbits.
